Claire Moxon-Waltz established Scribe Select in 2012 after having worked in corporate roles for more than 15 years. Her experience in diverse work environments, coupled with a strong education, gave her the tools for success in running a small business. Now in its eleventh year of operation, Scribe Select has a growing list of clients and successfully completed projects. Information on Claire's background and skill set are outlined below.
In her current role as Principal and Consultant, Claire manages most of the projects taken on by Scribe Select. As needed, carefully chosen sub-consultants are selected to work on specific projects. - Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional (CAAP) program in Toronto, Ontario.
- Admitted to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office, April 2003 as Registered Patent Agent #57,557.
- Completion of 70 of 90 credits towards a US-based JD (law degree) prior to returning to Canada.
Claire has over 15 years of corporate-based experience, including the following roles:
- Nine years experience working in the USA as a Patent Agent for Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., writing and prosecuting hundreds of patent applications in a wide range of life science and biotechnology disciplines, as well as managing applications in laboratory automation and agricultural engineering, including diverse experience in managing international counsel for foreign patent prosecution.
- Communications Manager for BASF Canada's Agriculture and Nutrition division
- Project management at a major advertising and marketing agency in Ontario, primarily for chemistry and biotech clients
